Dr. Niezgoda is Past President of the American Professional Wound Care Association and Past President of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine. He founded AZH Wound & Hyperbaric Center MKE and Advancing the Zenith of Healthcare, focusing on excellence in wound, hyperbaric, vascular, and regenerative clinical services. Additionally, as Kent Imaging’s Chief Medical Officer, he showcases clinical applications of near-infrared spectroscopy and provides medical and clinical leadership for Kent’s wound care product strategy and clinical integration. Dr. Niezgoda’s expertise extends to clinical research, medical device development, and international education through WebCME. He consults for industry, CMS, and the FDA, impacting healthcare worldwide.

Dr. Thomas E. Serena MD FACS FACHM MAPWCA, Founder and Medical Director of The SerenaGroup®, is a renowned expert in wound care and research. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The College of William and Mary and Penn State Medical School, he completed his surgical residency at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Dr. Serena has established wound care centers across the United States and globally. He has led over 100 clinical trials and holds patents on wound care devices and dressings. Internationally recognized, he has published over 200 papers, authored three medical textbooks, and delivered over 1000 invited lectures worldwide. He has held leadership roles in organizations such as the Wound Healing Society, Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, American College of Hyperbaric Medicine, and American Professional Wound Care Association. Dr. Serena is also committed to medical relief work, having served with Health Volunteers Overseas and initiated wound clinics in Vietnam.

Dr. Sexton, MD, specializes in pediatrics and hyperbaric medicine, with extensive experience in wound care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Sexton is a prominent figure in hyperbaric medicine, both as a practitioner and educator. Despite being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, he overcame significant challenges to become a hyperbaric physician. He is dedicated to treating patients with decompression illness and other hyperbaric clinical applications. Dr. Sexton is President of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine and is recognized for his contributions to wound care, holding certifications including MAPWCA and CHWS.

Dr. Caroline E. Fife, serving as Chief Medical Officer at Intellicure, LLC, has a distinguished career merging medicine and academia. As a Professor of Geriatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and Executive Director of The U.S. Wound Registry, she has propelled wound care and hyperbaric medicine forward. Her journey began at Texas A&M University, culminating in postgraduate training at Duke University and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. With a wealth of experience as Clinical Professor and Director of Clinical Research at Memorial Hermann Hospital, she's made indelible marks in professional organizations like the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society. Dr. Fife's influence extends through editorial roles, national grant review panels, and leadership in the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders, showcasing her unwavering dedication to advancing healthcare through research, education, and clinical practice.

Christine Shettel boasts over 25 years of clinical and educational expertise in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. As Vice President of Clinical Services at Kent Imaging, Christine has spearheaded initiatives in patient outcomes, reimbursement operations, and medical education, showcasing her commitment to advancing healthcare practices. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for both the American Professional Wound Care Society and the American Board of Wound Healing. Christine has a Bachelor’s in Science and Nursing from Messiah College, Grantham, PA. Christine is also published in the area of wound care research.
